Over the last three decades, the Jalapeno Tree has grown from its first location in Henderson to now fifteen friendly locations serving fresh, healthy, and made-to-order crazy good Mexican food in towns across East Texas, all inspired by the unique taste and wide variety of authentic Mexican food previously found only south of the Rio Grande. With a Jalapeno Tree restaurant now in Athens, Carthage, Denison, Henderson, Nacogdoches, Jacksonville, Kilgore, Longview, Marshall, Palestine, Tyler, Canton, Gun Barrel City, Mineola, and Mount Pleasant, no matter where you are, crazy good Mexican food is never very far away!

Family owned and operated, and now well established as a favorite East Texas dining destination, all Jalapeno Tree locations are full-service restaurants that strive to create a family friendly environment with a focus on fresh food, quality ingredients and exemplary service. Featuring both traditional favorites as well as contemporary flavor combinations, the current menu offers a wide variety of appetizers, soups, salads, lunch specials, grilled specialties, a selection of burritos, quesadillas, tacos, and enchiladas, well known Jalapeno Tree Star combo dinners, the popular build your own combo, great desserts, a full beverage selection, always handcrafted tortillas, and of course sizzling fajitas are the specialty of the Jalapeno Tree.

Since opening its doors, the Jalapeno Tree has been working hard to make a difference. It is always a privilege for the Pepper Posse® team to be able to help the communities they serve, proudly partnering with and providing support to local towns and schools to promote education, extracurricular activities, and awareness. The Jalapeño Tree provides discounts to Police, Military, and Veterans every day of the year. Owner(s) Mark Parmerlee and Paul Bambrey firmly believes in giving back to people in the communities where Jalapeno Tree restaurants are located. Through local charities, fundraising, and volunteering, the owners, managers, and staff have found many ways, both big and small, to lend a helping hand.

The Jalapeno Tree has a long-standing relationship with local chapters of both the United Way and the area Red Cross, with participating locations partnering with each on selected days to provide a portion of their proceeds to help those less fortunate, thus allowing Pepper Posse® fans a great opportunity to enjoy some Crazy Good Mexican Food while helping their neighbors in need. Other organizations and groups receiving support in various forms from the Jalapeno Tree include the Make a Wish Foundation, Tyler ISD, Denison ISD, the Child Advocacy Center, Support the Blue, the Boy Scouts of America, the Kilgore National Guard, and the Tyler Soccer Association.

The Jalapeno Tree is also proud to support all of our local men and women in uniform, who give so much to all of us each day by providing a fifty percent discount to all police officers in uniform each and every day. It’s just the Jalapeno Tree’s way of saying ‘Thank You!’ to all of those who serve.

“The Jalapeno Tree wants to enthusiastically thank all of East Texas for allowing us to live our passion for Crazy Good Mexican Food and for continuously welcoming the Jalapeño Tree as a member of the community,” says owner Paul Bambrey. “The Pepper Posse® certainly doesn’t make the magic happen alone and so thanks are also in order to all of our staff, managers, and vendors for all of their hard work and support for the last thirty wonderful years!”
